Job Title: Project Manager II
Position Summary
The Project Manager II is responsible for leading small to medium-complexity projects from planning through completion. This role manages project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, resources, vendors, and deliverables while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
Rate: $50-$60 an hour on w2
Key Responsibilities
- Lead small to medium-complexity projects and take accountability for successful project delivery.
- Manage internal project teams, external resources, vendors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, scope, timelines, outcomes, and deliverables using PMO tools, templates, and best practices.
- Conduct analysis to estimate, monitor, and track project costs and budgets.
- Define resource requirements and coordinate availability with resource managers.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure vendor schedules, costs, and deliverables align with the overall project plan.
- Establish, maintain, and update project risk logs, issue logs, and related project documentation.
- Resolve project issues and escalate risks, blockers, or concerns as appropriate.
- Manage project change control processes in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Ensure project documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years of project management experience.
- Demonstrated success applying project management concepts and techniques across multiple simultaneous projects.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and manage difficult conversations with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to build credibility and maintain strong working relationships across teams and leadership levels.
- Understanding of business process improvement and change management preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field preferred.
- PMI, PMP, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
