Job description

Project Coordinator
9Wood is a leading North American manufacturer of custom wood ceilings. We help architects, designers, and contractors bring distinctive wood ceiling ideas to life with clarity, speed, and practical support.
Work at 9Wood
Architects and designers often need support when specifying a custom wood ceiling. Acoustical subcontractors also need clear pricing, installation, and technical guidance. In this role, you will support both groups, working cross departmentally with our sales, estimating, engineering, drafting, customer service, project management, and production teams.
We are building a stronger position in our niche market through what we call Custom Made Fast. "Custom" means designers can choose from millions of possible configurations. "Fast" means we provide reliable quoting, drafting, and fabrication support so projects can move with greater confidence and less friction.
Visit our website to see examples of installed projects made possible through this work.

9Wood is an employee-owned company through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, or ESOP. Employee ownership is one expression of our commitment to the welfare of our people.
No job or company is perfect. But we consistently hear from employees that there is something special about 9Wood. One example is our commitment to open-book reporting. Each month, we review the company's financials with employees - the good, the bad, and the ugly - so everyone understands the financial score.
Benefits include:
  • Competitive hourly pay rate $20.51 - $23.06, depending on experience
  • Paid holidays and PTO that increases with tenure
  • 401(k) program with all fees paid
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) retirement program
  • Medical and dental insurance for employees and immediate family
  • Health Savings Account and Health Reimbursement Account options
  • Life insurance
  • Commuter benefits
  • Continuing education benefits
  • Monthly financial meetings with all employees

About the role
Qualified candidates must be able to work on site in Springfield with remote flexibility, must be detailed-oriented, thrive when required to prioritize and manage many tasks simultaneously, demonstrate excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and want to have fun while getting the job done. Project Coordinator responsibilities include:
  • Receive and process project correspondence from departments and customers
  • Filter and prioritize all incoming calls
  • Negotiate turnaround times with customers and internal departments
  • Update and maintain accurate records of projects
  • Review progress of projects and communicate significant changes to the Project Manager
  • Coordinate the Project Managers work

Regularly scheduled shift hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm
How to apply
Please apply through this posting. Include your resume and a cover letter explaining why you believe you are a good fit for this role.
