Job description

Construction Project Coordinator

I am seeking a detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator to support and lead project administration from preconstruction through closeout on commercial construction projects. This role plays a key part in coordinating subcontractors, managing documentation, and ensuring projects stay on schedule, within budget, and aligned with contract requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate project administration across all phases of construction
  • Review construction documents and identify constructability issues
  • Manage bidding process: develop bid lists, distribute ITBs, track and evaluate proposals
  • Prepare scopes of work, perform material take-offs, and support pre-bid activities
  • Draft subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, and material tracking
  • Create and maintain project schedules in coordination with field team
  • Support budgeting, invoicing, and change management processes
  • Coordinate permits, inspections, and preconstruction site setup
  • Act as a liaison between field and office team
  • Manage punch lists and support project closeout
  • Attend and facilitate project meetings and mentor junior team members


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in construction management or related role
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, scheduling, and project workflows
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Teams)
  • Experience with Autodesk Cloud, Bluebeam, and bidding platforms (e.g., Building Connected)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
