JOB SUMMARY


The Mission Critical & Time-Sensitive Operations Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end execution of time critical freight movements across air, ocean, road, and multimodal solutions. This role requires a high degree of urgency, problem-solving, and coordination to ensure freight moves according to required timelines, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Manage and execute time-sensitive shipments across all modes (Air, Ocean, Trucking, and Multimodal), ensuring on-time delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee mission-critical freight operations, including expedited, white-glove, and high-priority shipments for industries requiring immediate logistics solutions.
  • Monitor and track shipments in real time, proactively addressing potential delays and providing timely updates to internal teams and customers.
  • Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and global partners to secure capacity, optimize routing, and mitigate risks related to disruptions.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Customer Service, Compliance, and Warehouse teams) to ensure seamless freight movement and adherence to customer SLAs.
  • Utilize CargoWise One (preferred) or other TMS systems for booking, tracking, and managing shipment documentation.
  • Handle project cargo and oversized freight movements, ensuring compliance with regulations, special handling requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Analyze and optimize processes to improve response time, reduce transit delays, and enhance operational efficiencies for time-critical shipments.
  • Support after-hours and weekend coverage as needed for urgent shipments requiring 24/7 oversight.
