Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Pricing Analyst to support our Project Cargo and Specialized Transport operations. This role will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive pricing solutions for domestic and international transportation projects involving heavy haul trucking, breakbulk and RoRo ocean freight, barging, crane services, air freight and oversized/overweight cargo movements.
The ideal candidate will have experience evaluating complex logistics requirements, negotiating with carriers and service providers, and preparing comprehensive commercial proposals that support business growth while ensuring profitability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop pricing solutions for domestic and international project cargo movements.
  • Prepare quotations for:
  • Heavy haul trucking
  • Oversized and overweight cargo transportation
  • Breakbulk ocean freight
  • Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) ocean freight
  • Inland and coastal barging services
  • Air Freight
  • Crane and rigging services
  • Port handling and terminal operations
  • Analyze transportation requirements, route surveys, permits, escorts, and specialized equipment needs.
  • Solicit and negotiate rates with carriers, ocean carriers, barge operators, terminals, and project logistics vendors.
  • Build total landed cost models and profitability analyses for project opportunities.
  • Review customer RFQs/RFPs and develop comprehensive pricing responses.
  • Maintain relationships with transportation providers and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Business Development, Procurement, and Project Logistics teams to ensure pricing accuracy and operational feasibility.
  • Monitor market conditions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain pricing databases, routing information, and carrier performance records.
  • Support global tender and project opportunities requiring multimodal transportation solutions.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of logistics pricing, freight forwarding, transportation, or project cargo experience.
  • Experience pricing and coordinating one or more of the following:
  • Heavy haul trucking
  • Breakbulk vessel charters
  • RO-RO vessel services
  • Inland barging
  • Project cargo logistics
  • Oversized and overweight transportation
  • Strong understanding of multimodal transportation and international freight forwarding.
  • Experience reviewing carrier tariffs, quotes, and transportation contracts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and cost modeling.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within freight forwarding, project logistics, industrial projects, energy, oil & gas, renewable energy, infrastructure, or EPC industries.
  • Familiarity with route surveys, permitting requirements, escort services, and specialized transportation regulations.
  • Knowledge of chartering concepts, marine operations, and port logistics.
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems, and pricing platforms.
  • Understanding of Incoterms and international trade requirements.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $27.75 - $41.50 / Hourly. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.
