Position Description: Charged with ensuring that our students are ready to provide their best effort on the ACT and with assisting them in developing the skills they will need to succeed. Each of the four ACT sections must be thoroughly understood by a candidate for the ACT.
Roles and Responsibilities
Academic Support
  • Teach all subjects in light of ACT requirements: math, reading, language arts, and science.
  • Establishes specific goals for each class, topic, and project and inform students of those goals.
  • Assist students with writing skills.
Activities
  • With the Education Coordinator, develop mechanisms for engaging student families in The Academy program and student learning.
Supervision
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust a weekly plan for The Academy.
Evaluation
  • Conduct baseline testing of students and monitor progress.
  • Provide periodic evaluations to parents.
