Community Support Associate (CSA) - Residential Program
Schedule:
Tuesday - Saturday, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Overview:
Boys & Girls Haven is seeking a full-time Community Support Associate (CSA) to provide Medicaid-reimbursable Community Support Services (CSS) to youth in residential care. This role focuses on delivering structured, goal-oriented interventions that support emotional regulation, coping, and daily functioning.
Position Description:
The CSA provides direct services aligned with individualized treatment plans, supporting youth in developing skills related to emotional regulation, coping, and social functioning. Services are delivered under clinical direction and must meet Medicaid requirements for medical necessity, documentation, and billing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Community Support Services (CSS) in accordance with Kentucky Medicaid requirements
  • Deliver structured, goal-directed interventions aligned with treatment goals
  • Support development of emotional regulation, coping, and social functioning skills
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation for all billable services
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and coordinate with clinical and residential staff
  • Support skill development within the residential setting through real-time coaching and engagement
  • Follow all safety protocols and utilize approved de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health or human services-related field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Development, Family Studies)
  • Must meet Kentucky Medicaid requirements for staff providing Community Support Services (CSS)
  • Experience working with youth in residential or behavioral health settings preferred
  • Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Compensation:
  • $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
  • $22.00 - $25.00 per hour for candidates with a provisional or higher clinical license (e.g., CSW or above), based on qualifications and ability to provide billable services

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Health, dental, and life insurance
  • 401(k) with company match (50% up to 6%)
  • Paid Time Off, including 24 days per year (including holidays)
