Position Summary

The Life Enrichment / Programming Director is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing engaging social, recreational, educational, spiritual, and therapeutic programming for residents within the community.

This leadership role creates meaningful opportunities that support resident independence, purpose, social connection, and overall wellbeing while helping foster a positive and vibrant community culture.

The Programming Director also collaborates with community leadership to support resident satisfaction, occupancy growth, family engagement, and community outreach initiatives through innovative and engaging programming.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead daily resident activities and events

  • Develop engaging social, recreational, educational, spiritual, and therapeutic programming

  • Oversee entertainment, outings, transportation coordination, and special events

  • Encourage resident participation and meaningful engagement

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members

  • Supervise and support Life Enrichment staff and volunteers

  • Maintain activity calendars, schedules, and required documentation

  • Manage programming budgets, supplies, and event planning

  • Collaborate with leadership teams to support resident satisfaction and occupancy goals

  • Promote community events and programming to residents, families, and the public

Qualifications
  • Previous activities, recreation, life enrichment, senior living, hospitality, or event leadership experience preferred

  • Assisted living or memory care experience strongly preferred

  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred

  • Creative, energetic, and outgoing personality

  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Compassionate and resident-focused attitude

  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays as needed

  • Valid driver’s license preferred
