ABOUT YOU

ARCO/Murray is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive BIM Coordinator to support our field operations and project team onsite in Sullivan, IN. This role works closely with onsite personnel, design teams, and trade partners to ensure seamless design, coordination, and install of complex structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable in an active construction environment, and skilled with BIM design/coordination software.

Typical base compensation for the BIM Coordinator role is between $80,000.00 and $110,000.00. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Serve as the technical BIM advisor in the onsite field office.
  • Participate in BIM set-up, standards development, and coordination process for project phases.
  • Establish early data exchange standards with the project team to optimize BIM utilization for scheduling, quantity take-off, estimating, and related functions.
  • Perform clash detection, coordination reviews, and constructability checks to identify installation conflicts, design gaps, access issues, maintenance concerns, and field execution risks. 
  • Facilitate BIM coordination meetings with engineering teams, construction teams, trade partners, vendors, and design partners to review conflicts, assign action items, track resolution, and maintain schedule alignment.
  • Partner with field supervision and construction leadership to support model-to-field coordination, installation planning, sequencing, prefabrication, modularization, and layout activities.
  • Assist project teams with RFIs, design clarifications, field change requests, submittal reviews, shop drawing coordination, and issue resolution related to BIM and coordinated design information.
  • Assist in model quality checking, digital close-out and asset data encoding for handover
  • Generate custom views, pull dimensions to ensure that field associates construct according to approved model. 

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, virtual design and construction, drafting/design technology, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience using Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Procore, and Bluebeam required
  • Working knowledge of mission critical systems such as electrical distribution, backup power, mechanical cooling, controls, fire protection, low-voltage systems, security systems, redundancy, and commissioning is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, equipment data, single-line diagrams, coordination drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of constructability, installation sequencing, trade coordination, RFIs, submittals, field change management, and turnover documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, project leadership, engineering teams, construction teams, vendors, subcontractors, and trade partners.
