Job description

The Senior Paid Media Strategist leads the development and execution of paid media strategies across digital channels, contributing to the success of integrated fundraising campaigns for nonprofit clients. This role is responsible for managing campaign performance, leading strategy for assigned channels, and translating data into actionable insights that drive results.
The Senior Strategist collaborates closely with internal teams, vendors, and clients to deliver high-quality campaign execution and optimization. This role also provides guidance to junior team members while supporting strategic planning and continuous improvement across client programs.
  • Develop and execute paid media strategies within omnichannel campaigns, leading strategy for at least one channel per assigned account and serving as the platform SME for the relevant channels on each assigned account.
  • Manage end-to-end campaign execution across platforms, including strategic brief development, campaign setup, copywriting, optimization, maintenance, and reporting.
  • Monitor and manage campaign performance and media budgets ($100K+ quarterly), ensuring alignment with client goals and spending plans.
  • Analyze campaign data and translate performance into actionable insights and optimization recommendations.
  • Lead reporting for assigned channels, ensuring insights are strategic, clear, and focused on performance improvement.
  • Ensure campaigns align with agency best practices, strategic direction, and client objectives.
  • Conduct regular campaign QA to maintain accuracy, performance, and adherence to established structures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to support integrated campaign execution.
  • Communicate campaign performance, insights, and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Identify opportunities to improve campaign performance, efficiency, and overall program effectiveness.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in digital media planning, buying, and campaign optimization, preferably within an agency environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred experience includes:
  • Managing campaigns across search, social, and programmatic channels
  • Experience working with nonprofit or direct response marketing campaigns
  • Experience supporting client strategy and performance optimization
Certificates, licenses and registrations required: Current Google Ads certifications.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of digital advertising platforms, including Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, paid social, and programmatic channels.
  • Understanding of digital marketing strategy and omnichannel campaign planning.
  • Ability to analyze campaign performance data and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics and campaign reporting tools.
  • Strong data analysis skills using Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Experience managing campaign budgets and performance metrics.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in campaign execution.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
