Department: Youth Resiliency Campus
Employment Type: Part time
Job Summary: Join a compassionate, collaborative team dedicated to supporting families of children with emotional and behavioral health needs - make a meaningful difference by empowering parents and caregivers, strengthening family resilience, improving child wellness, connecting families to community resources, and supporting recovery through lived-experience coaching. We seek a caring, patient, and proactive individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills who can build trusting relationships and guide families through treatment and support processes.
The Family Support Provider partners with interdisciplinary teams to coach parents and caregivers, develop individualized family service plans, facilitate group education and support activities, and assist families in accessing community resources and services. This role includes crisis intervention, documentation of services, participation in staffing and wraparound meetings, and promoting family-centered wellness and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coach and support parents/caregivers to build strengths, resilience, and practical skills for managing their child's emotional and behavioral needs
• Develop and implement individualized family service plans and participate in wraparound and staffing meetings to ensure continuity of care
• Facilitate group education sessions, mutual support groups, and community-based activities that promote recovery, wellness, and social connection
• Provide crisis intervention and timely moral support during family emergencies or acute needs
• Assist families with meeting preparation, referrals to outside resources, and navigating health and social service systems
• Share lived-experience when appropriate to model recovery tools, symptom management, and problem-solving strategies
• Document all services provided according to agency standards and participate in quality assurance and program processes as directed by leadership
• Represent the agency professionally during intakes, community presentations, and collaborative work with partner agencies
• Monitor family progress, identify resources and strengths, and support families in setting and achieving goals for themselves and their children
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must meet state qualifications required to obtain the Family Support Provider credential
• Experience working in mental health, family support, case management, peer support, or related human services preferred
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and produce concise written reports
Additional Qualifications:
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, reliable personal transportation, and current auto insurance required
• Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check
• Completion of New Hire Orientation and required training (including Relias) as directed
• First Aid and CPR certification to be obtained within three (3) months of hire and maintained per renewal dates
• Behavioral management/crisis intervention training (CPI for Residential or Peaceful Intervention/Verbal De-escalation for Outpatient) within 30 days of employment or first available class
• Successful completion of 40 hours of prescribed classroom training within two (2) weeks of employment or documentation of prior completion
• Within first year, complete required trainings including suicide awareness/precaution, infection control, quality assurance, and community support philosophy
Physical Requirements
• Sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amounts of force frequently; sitting most of the time with occasional walking or standing
• Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during the work shift
