Description
As part of its reorganization effective August 1, 2026, Office of Statewide Programs will have an opening fora Program Project Coordinator in Region 3 in Scott County.
The Program Project Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the Specialty Court program, ensuringcompliance with program requirements, policies, and procedures. This position provides case management andcommunity supervision to participants and collaborates with judges, court staff, attorneys, treatmentproviders, and community partners to support participant success. The Program Project Coordinator managesprogram documentation, case files, data reporting, and grant audits. Additionally, the position serves as aliaison among stakeholders, prepares reports, and evaluates program activities to promote efficient operationsand achievement of program goals. This position is responsible for timely, accurate reporting to the court andcourt administrative duties on an as-needed basis.
This Program Project Coordinator position will be retitled to Specialty Courts Coordinator as part of theAugust 1, 2026, reorganization. The below accurately reflects the qualifications and examples of duties forthe position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a caseload of Specialty Court participants, conducting screenings, intakes, orientations, individualized case planning, and ongoing case management.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with community agencies to secure participant access to treatment, housing, education, vocational training, and other resources.
- Serve as a liaison among judges, attorneys, court staff, treatment providers, and community partners to coordinate services and support participant success.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in the case management system, ensuring documentation, reports, and files meet program and compliance standards.
- Some overnight travel is required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:Associate's degree in the education field
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:At least 2 years of experience working with high-risk or high-needs population, includingindividuals with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, or multiple barriers to success.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:Additional relevant work experience will substitute for the degree on ayear-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):NONE
Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in an office and/or courtroom setting and requires regular attendance onsite atthe designated work location.Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.Statewide travel is required.Must be able to deal with highly stressed people.Must be able to deal with substance abuse issues and behavioral health needs.Must be able to work inside a detention center on as needed basis.Due to the nature of the job duties and responsibilities, this position is not authorized for virtual work.
