About the role:
As a Program Manager you will direct comprehensive reviews of design deliverables, including drawings, calculations, methodologies, and specifications.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Global Engineering Integration and be located at Columbia, SC facility. The position is hybrid; you will be on site 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic oversight and constructively challenge the design approach to ensure WEC achieves optimal, cost-effective outcomes.
  • Lead coordination and integration with Owner's Engineer, including execution of initial kickoff and ongoing alignment.
  • Establish and lead governance cadence for civil/structural engineering forums, including weekly and ad hoc critical issue meetings.
  • Orchestrate engagement of WEC structural engineering SMEs, ensuring all design evaluations are completed, validated, and signed off by appropriate experts.
  • Oversee civil/structural construction oversight, ensuring alignment between design intent and field execution; proactively resolve technical issues to maintain quality and schedule performance.
  • Lead routine field walkdowns to verify compliance with engineering requirements, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Drive design review sessions, ensuring risks are surfaced, decisions are made, and actions are closed.
  • Deliver executive-ready reporting on project status, risks, issues, and performance metrics.
  • Direct participation in site meetings and inspections, ensuring alignment across construction leadership and engineering stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years prior project management experience
  • Knowledge of Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge.
