Job description

Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client.

The Work

The Program Manager plays a critical role in leading and coordinating large-scale, complex programs to ensure successful delivery of all objectives in alignment with organizational and contractual goals. The role involves strategic planning, resource management, stakeholder communication, and overall program execution to meet contractual, budgetary, and performance requirements. Program Managers function as the primary point of contact between the client and the organization, assuming responsibility for planning, organizing, and managing resources across all phases of the program lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform program management duties in support of the client’s program execution.
  • Provide senior-level program management support consistent with the SME experience requirement.
  • Coordinate program activities and deliverables across assigned site(s) in support of training operations.
  • Support planning, tracking, and reporting activities appropriate to the Program Manager labor category level.
  • Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risk throughout the contract program life cycle and coordinate with the COR, Primary Contracting Officer (PCO), and the client Program Manager prior to making decisions that will cause deterioration of the contract program, related to resource allocation, cost and schedule.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans when deviations from budgets and/or schedules are evident.
  • Seek assistance in resolving schedule and budget problems as they arise.
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
  • Provide metrics and analysis to support forward-looking decision making based on data
  • Provide program status reports/metrics and briefings as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications – Here’s What You Need

  • Program Manager Senior:
    • Master’s degree or approved equivalent of experience.
    • PMP Certification desired.
    • Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
    • 4-10 years’ performing program management-like duties, preferably in an IT or cyber-related mission.
    • Proven record of supervising direct reports and small teams.
  • Program Manager SME:
    • Master’s degree or approved equivalent of experience.
    • PMP Certification.
    • 15+ years’ performing program management-like duties, preferably in an IT or cyber-related mission. 
    • Ability to provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff. 
    • Proven record of leading an organization with both direct and indirect reports.
    • Command or Senior Enlisted experience desired.
    • Active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
