Focus: The Military Program Manager is responsible for managing assigned U.S. Military ammunition programs throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring customer requirements and business objectives—including sales, profitability, and delivery—are achieved.

Military Program Manager Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead cross-functional activities for assigned military programs, managing priorities, requirements, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Serve as Winchester’s primary point of contact for U.S. Government customers and communicate program requirements across the organization.
  • Prepare timely, comprehensive proposals in response to customer solicitations and requests for quotation.
  • Manage programs in compliance with U.S. Government contracts, regulations, and procurement requirements.
  • Monitor customer needs, procurement strategies, competitive activity, and other market conditions affecting assigned programs.

Military Program Manager Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree* ; Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of related engineering, manufacturing, program management, government contracting, or defense industry experience.
  • Experience managing U.S. Government contracts, managing delivery schedules and associated regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and cross-functional program management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%

Location-Specific Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid U.S. drivers license
  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
