About the Team
At DoorDash, we're building the industry's most scalable and reliable delivery network to support our three-sided marketplace of consumers, merchants, and dashers. The Foundations TPM team provides the essential support for the underlying technology services including Data Engineering, Data Platform, Core Infrastructure, and Developer Platforms - and the engineers who build them. It's a high-stakes environment where we solve complex problems to ensure the stability and velocity of the entire engineering organization.
About the Role
We are looking for a Manager, Technical Program Management to lead and grow our Foundations TPM team. You will report to the Senior Manager of TPM within Engineering Operations and partner closely with Directors in Foundations Engineering to establish the vision and technical direction for our core systems.
In this role, you aren't just managing people; you are overseeing a portfolio of critical initiatives across Data Platforms, Data Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, and Developer Platform. You will ensure your team successfully drives programs related to reliability, security, capacity planning, and large-scale migrations.

Qualifications

  • Management Experience: At least 2 years of experience directly managing a team of TPMs or engineers in a relevant technical domain.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills; able to convey complex infrastructure concepts to both technical experts and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Execution: Strong skills in project planning, estimating, and scheduling, with a focus on progress and pragmatic solutions.

Compensation
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
