We are seeking a Health and Wellness Director who leads with heart, integrity, and expertise. In this role, you’ll ensure every resident receives compassionate, person-centered care while inspiring and supporting our wellness team to deliver their best each day.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead by Example: Be visible, engage with residents, and support staff in daily care activities.

  • Resident Care Planning: Develop and implement personalized service plans in line with physician orders and resident needs.

  • Effective Communication: Serve as the key liaison between residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers.

  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records and service plans to meet state regulations.

  • Hands-On Support: Provide direct care when needed and supervise nursing services to ensure safety and quality.

  • Staff Leadership & Development: Train, mentor, and guide wellness staff; conduct in-services and promote professional growth.

  • Resident Assessments: Evaluate prospective residents’ care needs and suitability for the community.

  • Medication Oversight: Ensure accurate and safe management of medications.

  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to resident emergencies with proper documentation and follow-up.

  • Risk Management: Identify at-risk residents and implement proactive safety plans.

  • Wellness Programming: Lead programs promoting health, education, and preventive care to enhance residents’ quality of life.

What We’re Looking For
  • LPN License: Active, valid license for the State of Iowa.

  • Senior Care Experience: Minimum 1 year working with seniors; understanding of senior health needs is essential.

  • Management Experience: At least 2 years leading a team.

  • Medication Expertise: Strong knowledge of medications, dosages, and potential side effects.

  • Skills & Traits: Integrity, problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and commitment to fostering independence and dignity.

  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using essential software tools.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and serve as Manager on Duty as needed.
