We are seeking an innovative and dynamic leader to serve as the Program Director for the AAS in Radiologic Technology Program. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to shape and lead a program , supported by a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
The Program Director will have full responsibility for the program's overall direction, including its organization, administration, periodic review, and continued development. This role is pivotal in building a program that not only meets but exceeds educational standards, shaping the future of radiologic technology education.
As a key member of the College of Health Sciences Leadership Team, the Program Director will report directly to the Dean and represent the program at the highest levels of the institution. The position entails contributing to strategic planning and ensuring the program aligns with the mission, goals, and objectives of the College and University.

Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction in the development, administration, and continuous improvement of the Radiologic Technology Program's master plan of education, ensuring the program produces highly skilled Radiologic Technologists who will assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of critically ill patients.
- Deliver high-quality instruction by preparing and teaching course(s) each semester, maintaining a dynamic learning environment that meets the evolving needs of students and the healthcare industry. If release time from teaching is needed, it must be approved by the Dean.
- Lead regular program and faculty meetings to foster collaboration, communication, and program excellence.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive assessment plan to evaluate and enhance the program's effectiveness, ensuring that goals and objectives are consistently met.
- Evaluate student learning outcomes at course, programmatic, and institutional levels, using data to inform improvements and innovations in curriculum and instruction.
- Oversee the student advisement process, ensuring that students receive the guidance and support needed to succeed academically and professionally.
- Coordinate radiation monitoring records with the Clinical Coordinator to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, program outcomes, and effectiveness data, maintaining the Program's accreditation status.
- Support the ongoing Admissions recruitment and interviewing process of prospective students.
- Participating in initiatives that showcase the RT program in outreach events, assigning staff or faculty to different recruitment events.
- Uphold all safety regulations, particularly radiation safety protocols, and ensure the Program's adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Continuously review and update the Radiologic Technology Program's curriculum to reflect changes in technology, industry standards, and educational best practices.
- Provide oversight for the maintenance, calibration, and functionality of all Program equipment, ensuring an optimal learning environment.
- Work with regulatory and accreditation bodies to maintain compliance and uphold the Program's integrity and reputation.
- Collaborate with faculty and the Clinical Coordinator to ensure students receive quality clinical experiences that prepare them for professional practice.
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine the Program's mission, vision, goals, and objectives to align with the College and University's strategic priorities.
- Manage and oversee the workload distribution among Program faculty, ensuring a balanced and effective use of faculty expertise and time.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and set clear goals for faculty and affiliated personnel, fostering professional growth and program excellence.
- Lead recruitment and retention efforts to attract highly qualified faculty, personnel, and students who are committed to advancing the field of radiologic technology.
- Support curricular and programmatic initiatives, such as interprofessional education, that enhance educational experience and broaden student competencies.
- Ensure that all Program, College, and University policies and procedures are upheld, contributing to a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean to support the ongoing success and growth of the Program.
- A minimum of a master's degree in a related academic discipline is required; a doctoral degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
- Current certification in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or an equivalent credential recognized by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
- At least three years of full-time clinical experience in the radiologic sciences, demonstrating practical, hands-on knowledge of the field.
- A minimum of two years of full-time experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited Medical Imaging program, ensuring a strong foundation in both education and clinical practice.
- Demonstrated administrative and leadership experience in program development, curriculum design, personnel management, student evaluation, and accreditation processes.
- A commitment to continuing professional development to stay current with advances in radiologic technology and educational practices.
- A demonstrated commitment to the professional development of radiologic technology students and to advancing the field of medical imaging through innovative education and practice.
- A proven record of excellence in teaching, research, and service, with academic credentials that reflect the attainment of at least the rank of Associate Professor.
