Dental Hygiene Program Director
Exempt
This position is open until filled.
Umpqua Community College seeks a qualified and experienced Dental Hygiene Program Director to provide leadership for the development, accreditation, launch, and ongoing administration of a new Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Dental Hygiene program. This is a start-up leadership role responsible for ensuring the program is designed, implemented, and maintained in full compliance with Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) standards and all applicable state and institutional requirements.
The Program Director serves as the academic, administrative, and accreditation lead for the Dental Hygiene program and provides instructional leadership, faculty supervision, curriculum oversight, clinical coordination, and continuous quality improvement once the program is operational.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
  • Licensed Registered Dental Hygienist or Dentist
  • Graduate of a dental or dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
  • Master's degree or higher
  • Experience working in education
  • Professional experience in dental or dental hygiene practice sufficient to understand and support the program's goals and accreditation standards
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior administrative or leadership experience in a dental or dental hygiene academic program.
  • Experience with curriculum development, assessment, and program evaluation.
  • Experience with program accreditation processes, including standards and reporting related to the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
