Job description

Our organization, a physician-led multispecialty group with over 120 providers, is in search of an OBGYN Residency Program Director located in Fresno, California.

We are affiliated with a highly regarded medical center that has been recognized as the Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News & World Report. Situated in Central California, our community boasts a lower cost of living and is conveniently close to Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks. Additionally, we offer easy access to major cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, and the Central Coast, along with direct flights to numerous major hubs, excellent schools, and a strong sense of community.

The Program Director will be responsible for organizing, coordinating, and overseeing the integrated OB-GYN Residency Program at our medical center, ensuring compliance with ACGME requirements. The role involves staying updated on clinical advancements in OBGYN and actively engaging in professional activities that enhance resident training, both in clinical and educational settings. This position entails providing leadership and supervising OBGYN residents during their didactic and clinical educational experiences. It is a full-time role, comprising 0.5 FTE dedicated to program direction and 0.5 FTE in clinical practice.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in graduate medical education within an ACGME-accredited teaching hospital and OBGYN program.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Program Director within the last five (5) years, or at least three (3) years as an Associate Program Director during the same timeframe.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with resident physicians, teaching faculty, hospital administration, and other staff members.
  • A genuine passion for leadership development and mentoring residents.
  • A full and unrestricted medical license from the California State Medical Board, along with current OBGYN Board Certification.
