Little Wildcats Childcare Assistant - Part-time
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Experience in a childcare setting preferred

Work Hours - 20 hours/week
7:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. or 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
183 Days/School Year (183 care days correspond with teacher contract)
Compensation
Hourly Rate - $12.00/hour
Performance Responsibilities
Childcare Assistants work under the supervision of the lead and associate teachers to assist with the basic and instructional needs for children up to approximately five years of age.ย

  • Assists with implementing the daily program of appropriate developmental experiences.
ย 
  • Assists in maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance of all childcare center requirements as a Legally Licensed Exempt Provider (LLEP).
  • Work with team members, volunteers and guests in the program.
  • Assist with helping children meet educational milestones through personalized instruction and other supplemental assistance.
  • Address basic interpersonal skills such as sharing, taking turns and asking permission in the classroom.
  • Help children with basic needs such as diaper changing, feeding, etc.
  • Assist with supervision of children in all settings.
  • Complete continuing education hours per State requirements.
  • Maintain a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere for staff and children.
  • Performs classroom related and other duties as requested.
