Job description

Our primary BCom degree is a four-year baccalaureate program integrating work experience, international exchange, and a wide range of value-added activities. We also provide a set of undergraduate courses that allow students in other disciplines to complete a Business Minor. This position acts as administrative and program support for the various undergraduate programs.

The Program Assistant is one of a team, working collaboratively to provide student support through program administration and office operations, as well as important records maintenance. The Programs Assistant's responsibilities contribute considerably to the efficient and effective operations of our programs. This position requires a strongly motivated and organized individual to work in a flexible setting where workflow is assigned based on functional needs including support for the Academic Director, the programs, students, admission team, faculty, sessional instructors, and international delegations from more than 110 partner universities in over 40 non-English speaking countries.Experience: This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to 3 years' experience working within a comparable environment

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Multicultural awareness, sensitivity and professionalism in dealing with a wide variety of interest holders (current and potential students, faculty, sessional instructors, and the community). Ability to prioritize and manage time and tasks with attention to detail. Ability to problem solve by using judgement, independent thinking and/or analysis.

Ability to interpret policies and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and tailor communication style for different audiences. Experience composing various business communications such as emails, memos and reports.

Experience scheduling meetings and calendar coordination. Experience in maintaining confidential and sensitive information. Experience with pre-planning and recording meetings.

Experience with event planning and coordination. Proficiency with computer applications (i.e., MS-Office Suite, Adobe Create Suite, content management systems). Specialized Knowledge/Education: Advanced organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Experience with systems like Banner, FAST, Emburse Enterprise, and Microsoft Office is considered an asset. Fluency in a second language is considered an asset.Experience: This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to 3 years' experience working within a comparable environment.
