Description: Ellington Public Schools is seeking applications for a part-time morning kindergarten aide at Windermere School.
Job Summary and Qualifications: Successful candidates will work as a program aide in the kindergarten class under the direction of a certified teacher. Candidates may also supervise lunch and recess periods. This position requires the candidate to work with young children ages 5-6, along with both clerical and instructional duties. Must have good organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and work to timely schedules. Confidentiality is critical. Must possess excellent inter-personal skills. The successful candidates will be required to submit to a state and national criminal history check, as well as a DCF review as required by Connecticut state statute. Previous work in a school atmosphere is a plus.
Working Conditions: This position is Monday - Friday. Candidates will work each day that school is in session. This is an at-will position. The starting hourly rate for the 2026-2027 school year is $17.43.
