Job description

VCare Holyoke Adult Day Health Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dynamic Program Director to lead the daily operations of our Adult Day Health program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social services, healthcare management, participant advocacy, and staff leadership.

This position is responsible for overseeing program operations, regulatory compliance, participant services, staff supervision, quality improvement initiatives, and community partnerships while ensuring exceptional participant care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee daily Adult Day Health Center operations.
  • Supervise interdisciplinary staff, including social workers, nurses, activity personnel, and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Massachusetts Department of Public Health regulations and program standards.
  • Oversee participant admissions, assessments, care planning, and service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain community partnerships and referral relationships.
  • Monitor quality improvement initiatives and participant satisfaction.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Assist with budget planning and resource management.
  • Ensure participant rights, safety, dignity, and confidentiality are maintained.
  • Lead staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW), Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience in healthcare, social services, adult day health, senior services, or community-based programs.
  • Knowledge of case management, care coordination, and participant-centered care.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with older adults and individuals with disabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) preferred.
  • Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) preferred.
  • Experience in Adult Day Health, Adult Foster Care, Home Care, Geriatrics, Behavioral Health, or Long-Term Care.
  • Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
