PCGH, Inc. is seeking a steady, organized leader to oversee our Adult Day Program for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and related support needs.

This is a hands-on program leadership role based fully on site in Roxboro. The Adult Day Program Director is responsible for daily operations, staff supervision, participant documentation, service planning, family communication, scheduling, and compliance-related paperwork. The right candidate will be comfortable leading staff, managing details, supporting participants directly when needed, and keeping a regulated program running consistently.

Remote or off-site work is not available for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the Adult Day Program.
  • Supervise, schedule, coach, and evaluate program staff.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance follow-up.
  • Maintain participant records, service plans, quarterly reviews, and required documentation.
  • Coordinate referrals, admissions, discharges, and program transitions.
  • Communicate professionally with families, guardians, care teams, and community partners.
  • Ensure billing support records, meal program records, monitoring documentation, and other required paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support compliance with applicable adult day service, funding, monitoring, and agency requirements.
  • Plan and support meaningful program activities that promote engagement, independence, and quality of life.
  • Provide direct program coverage and hands-on participant support when needed.
Requirements

Because this is a regulated Adult Day Program leadership position, candidates must meet the required education and experience thresholds.

Candidates must meet one of the following qualification pathways:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 years of post-graduate experience with the population served, or
  • Bachelor’s degree in a non-related field and 4 years of post-graduate experience with the population served.

Additional requirements:

  • Supervisory experience required (2 years).
  • Experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, older adults, or adults with disabilities strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, documentation, organization, and computer skills.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Ability to work fully on site in Roxboro, NC.
  • Willingness and ability to assist with hands-on care, participant support, transfers, and coverage needs as required.
  • Brings a consistently positive, steady presence and takes genuine pride in doing meaningful work well.
Schedule and Classification

This is a full-time, non-exempt/hourly position. The schedule generally follows daytime program hours, with some flexibility required based on staffing, participant needs, meetings, and documentation deadlines.
