Valued partners on the Revenue Team and across the company, NEOGOV Sales Engineers serve as product experts, lead technical demonstrations and influence our product roadmap through cross functional teamwork.

What You Will do
  • Develop & maintain expert level product knowledge of all assigned NEOGOV brand products through ongoing self-study or departmental training, product training, and observing customer calls
  • Translate prospects' strategic goals, manual processes and business requirements into NEOGOV product solutions via Sales Demonstrations, POC's and RFI/RFP Responses specific to Higher Education
  • Lead value based conversations within technical product demonstrations, uncovering key prospect priorities for Higher Ed institutions and build value for Ellucian partnerships
  • Design, validate, and present technical solutions or enhancements to share with prospective customers and NEOGOV teams
  • Keep pipeline deals, POC's, RFP's, and assigned project work on track by maintaining up to date and accurate CRM records, calendars, and project management tools
  • Respond to daily product functionality questions from sales team over social collaboration/email channels; surfacing question trends for training opportunities
  • Serve as peer mentors for Sales team members to improve product knowledge and enhance discovery demonstrations
  • Participate in NEOGOV Product Councils to articulate sales metrics, product demonstration trends, and competitor information to guide roadmap conversations
  • Assist marketing and training teams with updates to sales enablement resources, including maintenance/troubleshooting of demonstration sites
  • Support sales trainers with new hire and transfer onboarding by delivering sales product trainings
  • Present and facilitate sessions at NEOGOV's annual User Conference and Ellucian E-Live, as needed.

What You Have
  • 2+ years experience using NEOGOV/NEOED products or comparable HCM software as an end user, implementation consultant, trainer or sales team member preferred
  • Professional experience in Higher Education - Preferred
  • Experience and Knowledge of Ellucian Student (Banner, Colleague, Ethos)- Preferred
  • 2+ years conducting product demonstrations or leading technical trainings
  • Prior experience with project management and project management software
  • Experience with CRM; Salesforce preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales, training, and/or project goals
  • Experienced in explaining complex products or services to customers in a way that's clear and compelling
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Salesforce, and Project Management solutions
