About this role

PlanetBids is looking for a driven and experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join a growing team at a critical stage of our expansion. This isn't an entry-level seat; we're looking for someone who knows how to prospect, has the reps behind them, and is ready to level up in a structured, high-performance environment.

You'll be on the front lines of PlanetBids' growth, identifying and engaging state and local government agencies, generating qualified meetings for our Account Executive team, and helping build the outbound motion that fuels our pipeline. You'll be coached, challenged, and given real ownership over your book of business. This is a role for someone who wants to grow fast and make a measurable impact!

Requirements:

Role Responsibilities

· Execute high-volume outbound prospecting through calls, emails, and LinkedIn to engage state and local government agencies

· Qualify inbound and outbound leads and convert them into booked meetings for Account Executives

· Research target accounts and key contacts to build personalized, relevant outreach

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activity and prospect data in HubSpot

· Follow and contribute to established SDR playbooks, cadences, and messaging frameworks

· Meet and exceed weekly and monthly targets for activity, meetings booked, and pipeline contribution

· Collaborate closely with your SDR Manager and Account Executive partners to align on strategy and feedback

· Continuously refine your outreach approach based on data, coaching, and market signals


Required and Desired Skills

· 2–5 years of experience in a B2B sales, SDR, or BDR role; prior experience in SaaS or GovTech is a strong plus

· Proven track record of hitting or exceeding outbound prospecting targets

· Comfortable with high-volume outreach across multiple channels (phone, email, LinkedIn)

· Working knowledge of HubSpot CRM required; experience with sequences and pipeline reporting preferred

· Strong written and verbal communication skills; you know how to craft a message that gets a response

· Familiarity with or interest in government, public sector, or procurement is a plus

· Self-motivated and disciplined in a fully remote environment

· Must be physically based in the United States and legally authorized to work for any employer

· Must be able to travel up to 20% to tradeshows, conferences, training, and corporate functions

· Ability to work both autonomously as well as within a team in a remote work environment
