Overview
The Senior Business Analyst role is responsible for supporting the Banking Operations teams in data analytics tasks, Operational Excellence initiatives, system enhancements/implementation, and design & implementation of medium- to large-scale projects. This position will handle large amounts of data and design feasible solutions, and act as a liaison between the solution end users and the business partners (such as IT, Enterprise Project Management, etc.) and/or 3rd party vendors. This position will also be responsible for the management of Banking Operations projects, development of system business requirements and perform User Acceptance test. This position is also responsible for coaching and leading junior team members, especially during the delivery cycles.
Responsibilities
  • Lead among all business partners (IT, 3rd party vendor, operational users SME) to design feasible technical solutions in medium to large projects
  • Lead and write business requirements for projects and work with IT and/or 3rd party vendors to ensure successful delivery
  • Design and perform system integration test to ensure a system and/or interface functions working as expected
  • Manage project implementation, and present project progress update to the senior management team
  • Identify the opportunities for data report automation and work with IT to materialize such opportunities
  • Conduct data analysis and generate management reports based on the user requests
  • Develop and implement enhanced process flow to improve operational efficiency
  • Compile and maintain the documentation for critical applications, reports and daily business analytics processes
  • Provide coaching, support and training to other business analysts
  • Perform other business analytic tasks as requested
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in finance, business, engineering, science or related fields or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience in banking analytics, working knowledge in banking regulations
  • Demonstrable experience in process automation design and implementation
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience performing complex data analysis
  • Excellent written, verbal and comprehension communication skills required
  • A self-starter, who can effectively navigate a complex organizational structure, achieving results through influence and collaboration
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail, adapt quickly to changes and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills and intermediate SQL skills required
  • Working knowledge in IBS Insight, LPS, SAP Business Intelligence, and Passport applications are preferred
  • Leadership skills required

Compensation
The base pay range for this position is USD $80,000.00/Yr. - CAD $150,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
