ABOUT THE ROLE

The People Partner team provides HR support to Uber's leaders, managers, and employees, especially in the moments that matter. The team helps drive engagement, strengthen the employee experience, and support Uber's growth through regional and global People initiatives.

We're looking for a seasoned People Partner to support employees across US&C Mobility & Delivery organizations.This person will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on people matters including performance, engagement, employee relations, organizational health, and broader People priorities.

The ideal candidate is data-driven, organized, adaptable, and passionate about improving processes and the employee experience in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide high-judgment advice to managers on handling complex performance issues, team conflicts, and local labor standards
  • Act as a HR advisor, mentor, and partner to employees, managers, and leaders, and manage risk mitigation and de-escalating/resolving HR matters.
  • Provide HR guidance, managing clients, business, and company needs against risks, to solve HR problems, build relationships, and increase manager, and leader capability..
  • Use data and insights to identify trends, inform decisions, and drive continuous improvement in HR delivery.
  • Partner with cross-functional People teams, including ER, Benefits, People Operations, Systems, Analytics, and HRBPs, to deliver a consistent employee experience.
  • Support key People processes and initiatives, including talent reviews, performance cycles, organizational changes, and local priorities.
  • Build scalable ways of working by simplifying, improving, and automating processes where possible.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years of relevant HR experience, for example as an HR Generalist, People Partner, Advisor, Business Partner, or project/program manager.
  • Experience advising managers and employees on complex or sensitive HR matters, including employee relations and performance.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to operate with sound judgment, influence without authority, and execute effectively in a fast-moving environment.
     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience coaching managers and peers on HR processes, leadership capability, employee relations, investigations, or complaints.
  • Strong project management skills, with HRIS, Oracle, JIRA, or ServiceNow experience considered a plus.

For New York City, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.


For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.


For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
