$100,000 – $130,000 DOE

A respected Sonoma County nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Director of Development to lead fundraising and development initiatives in support of its mission and long-term growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proven nonprofit development professional who is passionate about community impact and enjoys building meaningful relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.

Position Overview

The Director of Development will be responsible for planning, implementing, and leading fundraising strategies, donor engagement efforts, campaigns, events, and development initiatives. This individual will work closely with executive leadership, board members, and community stakeholders to strengthen philanthropic support and expand organizational reach.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic fundraising and development plans
  • Cultivate, steward, and grow donor relationships
  • Lead annual giving campaigns and major gift initiatives
  • Support grant strategy and development efforts
  • Partner with leadership and board members on fundraising activities
  • Coordinate sponsorship and community partnership opportunities
  • Assist with planning and execution of fundraising events
  • Track development metrics, reporting, and donor engagement activity
  • Represent the organization within the community and at events

Qualifications

  • Prior nonprofit fundraising/development experience required
  • Previous experience in a Director of Development or senior fundraising leadership role strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to cultivate donor and community relationships
  • Experience leading fundraising campaigns and development initiatives

Compensation & Benefits
