Job description


Participates in the educational process that includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of orientation and continuing professional development for the hospital staff as well as patient/community health teaching.
PAY RANGE: $95,160 - $120,621.62
*The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Job Requirements
  1. Education/Experience (minimum required): Master's degree in nursing required. Prefer masters concentration in nursing education. BSN degree required. Professional nursing certification preferred.
  2. Experience: Five years of active, acute nursing experience; one or more years of relevant experience in educational planning/teaching.
  3. License/Certification Required: Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State; Certification as Nursing Professional Development Specialist preferred; AHA CPR BLS required. Instructor status for CPR BLS preferred. ACLS and/or PALS instructor preferred
  4. Skills: Computer experience required. (Preferred experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, internet search functions, multimedia presentation applications, document design applications and learning management systems)
