PAY SCALE: $46,500 - $66,500/Year, Based on Education and Experience
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for all operations applicable to the RBERN contract, including leading professional development activities, instructional coaching, and technical assistance regarding ELL and Bilingual programming.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
  1. Under the direction of the RBERN coordinator, plan and provide school support for English language learners (ELLs) and Multilingual Learners (MLs) in schools within the Mid-West RBERN region.
  2. Provide technical assistance via phone, email, or in-district on matters related to ELLs and MLs, including but not limited to state regulations and policies, ENL and Bilingual Education services and programming, and NYS learning standards
  3. Design and facilitate online and in-person learner-centered training that enhances the instructional skills and competencies of educators responsible for the achievement ELLs and MLs.
  4. Support the activities of the New York State Education Department (NYSED) and Office of Bilingual Education and World Languages (OBEWL) as requested.
  5. Attend statewide RBERN meetings in fall and spring.
  6. Perform other related activities, as requested by the coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bilingual Extension (Preferred) and/or NYS TESOL Certification. Master's degree in a related field.
