Our Nursing Professional Development Specialists support the mission of Cleveland Clinic through evidence-based practice and education that equips caregivers with the most current clinical knowledge and resources. This full-time position will primarily support nursing education for the Neuro service line at Main Campus, including approximately 20% unit rounding to provide direct clinical support and education to caregivers. While the role is based at Main Campus, flexibility to travel to other Cleveland Clinic locations is required to meet departmental and caregiver needs; mileage reimbursement is available. The schedule is generally day shift, though flexibility is needed to support unit-specific orientations, competencies, and educational needs for night shift caregivers.

A caregiver in this position works 7:00am to 3:30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Design, direct, implement, andevaluateeducational offerings based on knowledge, skills and learning levels of nursing staff.

• Identifylearning needs and desires of nursing personnel.

• Develop andutilizeappropriate evaluationsystems todeterminethe effectiveness of educational activities.

• Consult with individuals within the Nursing Institute and Ambulatory Nursing, CCF and the communityregardingprofessional nursing practice and roles.

• Assistin the development of department specific orientation and competencies.

• Assistdepartments in orientation of staff.

• Develop andmaintaina cataloging system for tracking and retrieval of all available teaching-learning resources.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of motion; manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
• Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
• Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
• Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
• Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
• Note: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $69,600.00

Maximum Annual Salary: $106,132.50

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
