Job description

About Us

Mid-Hudson Veterinary Practice, PC is located in Carmel, in historic Putnam County, New York. We are a strictly ambulatory practiceโ€”predominantly equine, with some small ruminant/camelid clients. We are paperless, and have digital radiology, ultrasound, gastroscopy, endoscopy and shockwave available. We cover a broad array of clients from competition riders to trail riders. The practice is surrounded by excellent referral centers (within 1โ€“3 hours) for upperโ€‘level imaging and surgical options. The practice owners are strong and consistent mentors, encouraging discussion, collaboration, and partnering. We accept students and shadowing hours in the summer for potential future veterinarians; as well as veterinary externships.

We offer a guaranteed competitive starting salary (followed by a ProSal system in subsequent years), IRA match, 2 weeks of paid time off, contribution to healthcare costs, FSA, professional dues/licensing fees/professional liability insurance paid, and a 4โ€‘day work week.

  • Categoryโ€ฏII federal accreditation (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
