Education Level: JD.

Salary: $160,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year.

Overview

Mid‑level associate to support our Portland Office’s Professional Responsibility Group and Litigation Practice Group. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of recent litigation experience, either in a civil law or criminal law practice. Candidates should also be licensed to practice in Oregon, have strong writing skills and excellent academic credentials. This lawyer will work primarily with the Professional Responsibility Group.

Responsibilities
  • Provide legal research and analysis in pleadings, memoranda, and other written documents.
  • Draft pleadings and other case documents.
  • Attend hearings.
  • Manage matters from commencement to final resolution.
  • Professionally communicate with clients and supervising attorneys.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate with excellent academic credentials.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in Oregon.
  • Familiarity with federal and state court procedural rules and practices.
  • Ability to prepare basic litigation documents.
  • Case management experience.
  • Clear and effective drafting skills.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Ability to learn new substantive legal topics as needed.
  • Ability to provide effective and reliable legal services to clients and supervising attorneys.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
