Production Worker

Location: Detroit Lakes, MN

Compensation: $18.50–$20.00 per hour – paid weekly

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire | Full-time

About the Opportunity:

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Production Worker associates for a manufacturing/packaging facility in Detroit Lakes, MN. In this role, you'll help ensure products are packaged correctly, equipment runs smoothly, and the facility stays clean and organized. If you enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment with weekly pay and a clear path to permanent employment, this could be a great fit. Read below for more information!

What You'll Do as a Production Worker:

  • Monitor packaging equipment to ensure proper operation throughout the shift
  • Notify the Plant Operator of trouble spots or potential issues
  • Inspect packaging materials and record any sub-quality materials
  • Package products according to company standards
  • Palletize finished product and operate the stretch-wrapping machine
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including end-of-shift cleanup
  • Assist maintenance personnel as needed
  • Stage shipments and help load trucks
  • Operate forklifts once trained and certified

What You Need to Bring to the Production Worker Role:

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. from waist to shoulder height
  • Ability to stand for up to 10-hour shifts
  • Ability to work around moving production equipment
  • Ability to work extra hours when required
  • Frequent bending and stair/ladder climbing (up to 120 ft.)
  • Comfort working in dusty conditions
  • Ability to read labels/signs and follow written or verbal instructions
  • Basic math skills and ability to record information accurately
  • Reliable transportation to the Detroit Lakes area
  • Ability to pass applicable pre-employment screenings
