Join a high-volume food production team and support the end-to-end process of making cakes on a fast-paced production line. You will perform a variety of rotating tasks, from preparing pans and mixing ingredients to handling finished products, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of tasks on the cake production line, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Mix ingredients accurately according to provided recipes and instructions.
  • Weigh ingredients precisely to ensure consistency and product quality.
  • Place cardboard inserts into bake pans to prepare them for crust and batter.

  • Fill pans with crust and ensure the correct amount is used for each product.
  • Level crust in pans to achieve an even base for cake batter.
  • Fill pans with cake batter, following portion and filling guidelines.
  • Level cake batter in pans to ensure even baking and consistent product appearance.
  • Remove finished cakes from pans carefully to avoid damage and maintain product quality.
  • Restock ingredients, materials, and supplies for each role on the line to keep production running smoothly.
  • Perform hand assembly, packing, and packaging of finished products as needed.
  • Label products correctly and perform visual inspections to confirm quality and accuracy.
  • Operate production and packaging machinery as trained and follow all safety protocols.
  • Stack and organize packaged products for storage or shipment.
  • Rotate through multiple positions on the production line and adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with food production standards.
  • Stand for the entire shift and perform repetitive motions while maintaining focus and attention to detail.

Essential Skills

  • Capability to operate basic production and packaging machinery after training.
  • Reliability and consistency in following food safety and hygiene procedures.
  • Physical ability to stand for the entire shift and perform manual tasks safely.
  • Entry-level friendly role with no prior experience required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in general labor, general production, or food manufacturing is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with packaging, production line work, or assembly line work is an asset.
  • Familiarity with machine operation in a manufacturing or packaging environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and rotate through multiple positions as needed.
  • Willingness to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.

Why Work Here?

Enjoy a supportive and structured production environment with plenty of opportunities to learn new tasks and rotate through different roles. You will benefit from a stable schedule, a comfortable air-conditioned facility, and the unique perk of complimentary cakes. The workplace emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and teamwork, creating a setting where new team members can quickly feel included and valued.

Work Environment

This role is based in a food production facility focused on cake manufacturing. The environment is air conditioned, and most production line workers operate in cooler areas to support product quality and safety.
