POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a temporary/seasonal opportunity.  Work in the day-to-day operations of soybean seed production, including but not limited to: conditioning, warehousing, shipping, and seed box wash.  This position will help to develop understanding of the seed production business.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with daily production operations including conditioning/bagging, shipping/receiving, and seed box wash/repair
  • Work in plant & warehouse 
  • Warehousing and load building as necessary, including load checking for accuracy
  • Assist in maintenance of field and plant equipment
  • Assist in seed conditioning and treating operations
  • Follow all safety & housekeeping procedures 
  • Operate forklift in warehouse.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork and documentation in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • No previous experience required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to work outdoors 60% of the time
  • Ability to work in all conditions, wet, dry, cold, hot
  • Ability to stand and walk on concrete for entire shift
  • Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR Requirements
