Job description

Your role
As a Technical Support Engineer, your mission is to provide expert technical support for centrifugal compressors and rotating equipment, helping customers and field service personnel quickly resolve complex technical issues and maintain reliable equipment performance. You will report to the Field Service Manager.
You will
  • Serve as a primary technical resource for customers and field service personnel, providing troubleshooting and support for centrifugal compressors and turbomachinery systems.
  • Investigate and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues while ensuring timely, accurate, and well-documented solutions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, vendors, and product companies to drive issue resolution and support customer needs.
  • Manage technical support activities, including documentation, corrective actions, root cause analysis, CRM tickets, and warranty-related support.
  • Identify opportunities to improve field service processes, technical training, and customer support capabilities across the organization.

To succeed, you will need

  • You have 10+ years of experience in field service, technical support, or maintenance of centrifugal compressors, rotating equipment, or turbomachinery or a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with relevant industry experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical systems, controls, and electrical components.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities with the ability to support customers during urgent situations.
  • Hands-on experience with centrifugal compressors, turboexpanders, or other large rotating equipment.
  • Experience with SAP, CRM systems, and the oil & gas or process industries.
