The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Product Support Coordinator to join our team in Pontiac, MI. In this role, you will be a key player in supporting global engine maintenance operations by facilitating the sale, distribution, and coordination of spare parts, tooling, and product support activities. You will work closely with customers, authorized service centers, OEMs, and crossfunctional internal teams to keep critical engine maintenance operations running smoothly.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy fastpaced environments, solving operational challenges, and playing a central part in ensuring exceptional customer support. You’ll gain deep exposure to aviation aftermarket operations, supply chain activity, and customer relationship management.

Additionally, the Product Support Coordinator will:

Coordinate and process spare parts and tooling orders

Verify that the parts and tooling being ordered are correct and appropriate for the maintenance work being performed, apply the proper contractual coverage and pricing, secure complete and accurate purchase orders, and maintain clear, proactive communication with all stakeholders involved.

Manage global consignment inventory

Set up new consignment locations, coordinate consumption of hardware/tools, maintain adequate inventory levels, perform inventory audits, and build an understanding of international customs and tax processes to ensure compliance.

Drive order followup and issue resolution

Handle delinquencies, order changes, cancellations, core returns, and payment issues to maintain smooth and timely fulfillment.

Support manufacturing coordination

Communicate critical hardware needs to responsible manufacturing cells, and expedite hardware in short supply through build and rework processes. Provide accurate timeline updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Assist customers with account and payment activities

Support transactions related to maintenance programs, contracts, purchase orders, or other related activities while ensuring a positive customer experience.

Maintain customer data and documentation

Update customer information within ERP and CRM systems to ensure accuracy and support seamless operations.

Provide broad product support assistance

Answer inquiries and process requests related to engine maintenance programs, spare parts, pricing and availability, technical publications, service center authorizations, training courses, and other Product Support functions.

Grow your responsibilities over time

As experience is gained, additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned based on your skillset and interests.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Position requires job knowledge and skills gained with 0-5 years of experience
  • Experience in supply chain, customer support, operations, or a technical product environment is preferred, but not required
  • Exceptional communication skills and a strong customer service mindset
  • High accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fastpaced setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)
  • Experience with SAP preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work holidays and/or weekends when business needs require
  • U.S. citizenship required, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if necessary
  • Candidates may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (More information: U.S. Department of State).

      The Product Support Coordinator is part of the broader Product Support team at Williams International, a group dedicated to delivering exceptional aftermarket support for our global customer base. Product Support plays a vital role in ensuring our engines, services, and maintenance programs operate seamlessly throughout their lifecycle.

      At a high level, the Product Support organization manages a wide variety of core business functions, including customer communication, technical troubleshooting, order processing, invoicing, maintenance contract administration, service facility oversight, inventory and warehouse management, global hardware distribution, technical publications, engine maintenance training, aftermarket forecasting, and fleet data analysis. The team also supports product improvement initiatives in coordination with Project Engineering.

      In addition, Product Support includes a FAA Part 145 repair station, responsible for the maintenance, repair, and testing of customer turbine engines and components. This handson technical capability enables Williams International to offer industryleading service quality and rapid support for our operators worldwide.
