Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Materials Handler II to support our manufacturing and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in assembly environments, strong organizational skills, and a safety-focused mindset.
Responsibilities
- Perform shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and order fulfillment tasks.
- Check goods against purchase orders/invoices and maintain accurate records.
- Package and prepare products for shipment, including posting weights and charges.
- Operate forklifts and lift heavy items as needed.
- Review customer orders, stock and distribute merchandise in warehouses or production lines.
- Manage non-inventory items, scrap materials, and special project storage requests.
- Coordinate crating requests and ensure proper warehouse space allocation.
- Adhere to safety procedures and use PPE consistently.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in material handling or warehouse operations.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
- Familiarity with SAP inventory management preferred.
- Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, basic operations).
- Ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs and work in confined or clean room environments.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to factories, training facilities, or customer sites.
Work Conditions
- 1st shift, Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend on-call work.
- Requires PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, bump cap).
- Duties may involve bending, stooping, crawling, climbing, and working in high places.
