Your Opportunity: The Herff Jones Cap & Gown location is looking for an Inventory Control Clerk to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. Reporting to the Inventory Control Supervisor, the Coordinator's primary job function is to sort, count, inspect and package emblematic parts, pieces, and products to make ready for shipping department.
What You'll Be Doing On A Daily Basis:
  • Perform daily cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions in Oracle, including moves, transfers, adjustments and substitutions.
  • Manage replenishment requests to ensure product availability for distribution teams
  • Additional tasks as necessary.

What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • 2 -3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with ERP systems is highly preferred
  • Good computer and communication skills
  • Knowledge using Microsoft Suite required / Oracle and JMAS experience a plus
  • Any background in Inventory, Production/Material Control and/or Purchasing are helpful
  • Other - math, critical thinking

Education / Certifications Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements:
  • Daily activity includes but is not limited to lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting.
  • Reading, communication, math.
  • Working at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to above
