The Role:

We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Production Engineer who brings decisiveness, strong decision-making, and expertise to the table. In this role, you'lltake ownership of their assigned manufacturing area, identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives, and leads projects aligned with department strategy and company objectives. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead investigation of newequipment to increase productivity throughtechnologyadvancement. You will be the project leader in planning,procuring,integratingand installation of productionequipment into the Paintareas.
  • Proactivelyidentifycontinuous improvement activities within manufacturing to help our Associates worksafelywhileincreasing thequalityof our products.
  • Engage with stakeholders throughout manufacturing to increase the productivity of operations to deliver Toyota's customer the best value.
  • Support organizational initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of our operations while supporting the communitywithinwhich welive.
  • Support manufacturing to investigate andeliminatedowntime within the assigned area.
  • Develop a vision and path forward for the area you support which will allownew technologyand automation to increase productivity and capacity to meet future sales forecasts.
  • Facilitate lean manufacturing practices within the Toyota Production System to improve material flow and inventory levels to reducelead-timeand improve safety.
  • Strive to become the technical expert for the assigned supportarea,andproactivelyidentifyand improve issues before problems occur.
  • Interact with equipment suppliers and other vendorsmaintainproject timelines.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability tointerface withall levels of the organization to advance your goals.
  • Experience with production paint operations including:
    • Liquid and powder coat paint application and troubleshooting
    • Knowledge of robotic paint application
    • Experience working with different (E-stat, HVLP, AAA) paint application methods
    • Understanding of paint system design and the benefits of different technologies
    • Basic knowledge of chemical pretreatment systems and chemicals

What We're Looking For:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology. (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial)
  • 0-5 years of hands on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work and communicate professionally with all levels within the TMH organization
  • Computer skills, including the ability to prepare thorough, concise reports and justifications
  • Able to interpret and create 2D and 3D CAD for manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Experience with technical problem solving
  • Strong work ethic, intrinsically motivated, ability to organize work and multi-task
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing methods including welding, cutting, turning, and milling
  • Ability to show initiative and work within a busy environment with conflicting priorities.
  • Experience with capital project management fromidea to implementation

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Use basic measuring tools and methods (scale, caliper, tape, etc.)

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:

Salary-$75,000 - $105,000per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
