Job Description

Production Engineer - TWT PostExhaust Assembly

Join our advanced manufacturing team supporting highreliability electronic products, where your expertise will directly impact yield, quality, and production excellence. In this role, you will own and continuously improve postexhaust assembly processes for Traveling Wave Tubes (TWTs)-ensuring every build is safe, consistent, and optimized for firsttime pass yield. Working closely with crossfunctional engineering and operations teams, you'll be a key driver of scalable, precision manufacturing from the shop floor to documentation control.

What you'll do

  • Define, validate, and own postexhaust assembly processes, including preparation, testing, and final packaging stages

  • Develop and maintain clear, unambiguous assembly procedures to ensure consistent execution

  • Create and manage travelers and routings that capture critical data for traceability and yield improvement

  • Specify, release, and validate production tooling to ensure precision, repeatability, and product integrity

  • Drive firsttime pass yield by embedding control points and critical parameter tracking into processes

  • Partner with engineering and quality teams to incorporate lessons learned into procedures and documentation

  • Support implementation of new processes and tooling on the shop floor, including operator training

  • Ensure alignment between released documentation and actual production practices

  • Support audits and ensure compliance with configuration control and quality system requirements

  • Participate in engineering change orders and process improvement initiatives

What you need

  • Strong ability to define and document manufacturing processes and assembly methods - required

  • Experience creating procedures, travelers, and tooling in a production environment - required

  • Proven understanding of shopfloor operations and operator workflows - required

  • Ability to analyze process performance and drive yield improvements - preferred

  • Experience in highreliability manufacturing environments - required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related) - required

  • Experience with vacuum electronics, RF assemblies, or highvoltage systems - preferred

  • Familiarity with contaminationsensitive processes and traceability systems - preferred
