Job description

The Production Planner supports manufacturing operations by preparing and maintaining detailed production schedules aligned with demand requirements, plant capacity, and material availability within PPG's Aerospace business.
You will sit onsite in our Mojave, CA facility. You will report to the Supply Chain Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed production schedules to meet required volumes while considering plant capacity and material availability
  • Use MRP functionality within a manufacturing or QA system to support production planning activities
  • Perform pack planning and bulk planning based on production requirements
  • Monitor actual production figures versus planned schedules and identify variances
  • Prepare and implement schedule adjustments in response to production constraints, material shortages, or demand changes
  • Support production meetings by providing schedule updates and production data
  • Ensure planning activities align with quality, safety, and manufacturing standards
  • Maintain accurate production planning records and reports to support continuous improvement projects

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Working understanding of MRP systems within a manufacturing or QA environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis
  • Internship, co-op, or coursework related to manufacturing, production planning, or supply chain
  • Familiarity with ERP systems used in manufacturing environments
  • Only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refuges are eligible to apply
  • You must have or be eligible to obtain security clearance

The base salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000, with a possibility of an annual bonus up to 2.5% of base salary.
