Job Summary:
The role of the Product Owner is pivotal in ensuring the Business Stakeholders' needs are communicated and priority is represented by the Development Team so that AMPS is delivering value in an Agile environment that supports organizational goals and objectives. The Product Owner will:
  • Be the face of the Products they represent, taking ownership and gaining SME status
  • Elicit and understand business processes, workflows, and needs to guide the Product forward with innovation and purpose
  • Own the day-to-day requirement and prioritization decisions and provide continuous business guidance for the delivery teams
  • Build product backlog, establish Product Roadmap for tools and systems in the P&L
  • Be able to work independently and with a geographically distributed team
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to define project Priority and Business Value

Essential Job Duties:
  • Support the AMPS A-Z Process designed to promote reliability and consistency in value generation and provide the mechanism for how the Business interacts with Engineering
  • Document Business requirements, process workflows, and appropriate use cases to facilitate high-quality software development
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies
  • Create Epics that clearly outline Business requirements using established templates to include all documentation required to clearly articulate the details of the project
  • Assign Initial Priority, Project Sizing and Business Value
  • Support Triage of production bugs, as needed
  • Participate in Refinement Sessions, story creation and assist with test case generation/testing strategy when required
  • Approve Technical Solution and assign final project priority.
  • Define the Sprint Goal
  • Work collaboratively with Scrum Team to assign Stories to Sprints.
  • Support Development and QA/Regression efforts
  • Owns UAT to include Kick-off meeting, Demos, and UAT Sign-off completion
  • Support Code Releases
  • Communicate work progress at Sprint Start, UAT Start, and Production Completion

Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree required. Related experience will be considered in lieu of degree with required experience
  • 3+ years' executing Provider Contracts utilizing varying methodologies
  • 3+ years' Network and Vendor Management experience
  • 4+ years' experience working with high functioning software development teams
  • 4+ years' experience in an Agile environment
  • 2+ years' direct Business Analysis experience
  • 2+ years' experience using Structured Query Language/s
  • 2+ years' experience Web Portal and Mobile Application Development
  • Working knowledge Medical Claim Adjudication, Payment Integrity Systems, and various Claim Processes
  • Working knowledge of Relational Databases and Data Structure
  • Working knowledge of Medical Bill Review Processes and Outputs
  • Working knowledge of Medical Claim Data, Data Flows, and Processes
  • Technical Data Flow and System Analysis experience preferred
  • Experience with Business Intelligence reporting preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Provide an appropriate remote working environment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Indoor office environment with moderate noise when reporting to a physical office
  • Intermittent physical effort may include lifting up to 25 lbs., walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be required
  • Frequent sitting, use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing approximately 70% of the time; 30% or less time is spent standing
  • Normal vision abilities required including close vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Up to 10% of travel is possible
