What you will do

The Volvo Financial Services Global D&IT team is looking for a Digital Product Owner (DPO) for our Parts and Services Financing and Payments platforms. In this role, you will connect stakeholders and development teams to turn business needs into valuable digital solutions.


As a DPO, you will lead an agile team of solution professionals and play a key role in turning product vision into business value. You will translate the product roadmap into clear deliverables, maintain a well-prioritized team backlog, and ensure alignment with the overall strategy and product direction.

Together with colleagues across VFS (Volvo Financial Services) and the broader Volvo Group network, you will take responsibility for the following areas:
   Lead a diverse global team focused on product engineering, development, and implementation.
   Create transparency around team backlog dependencies and priorities.
   Clarify team purpose, strategy, and business priorities.
   Guide the development and maintenance of digital products in line with architecture, security requirements, and digital product strategy through decommissioning.
   Manage budget and financial follow-up for owned digital products and solutions.
   Coordinate dependencies and collaborate with other teams and business partners as needed.
   Establish and monitor SLAs (Service Level Agreements) end to end for solutions managed by the team, including both delivered and consumed services.
   Oversee lifecycle management and support for digital products and solutions within the team's scope.
   Ensure the team regularly collects and applies feedback on implemented work.
   Contribute to product roadmap planning and capacity management.
   Support team and culture development to build the capacity and capabilities needed for successful delivery.

The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of automotive financing, preferably leasing and rental, along with ambition, sound judgment, and the ability to understand team and corporate objectives. You communicate effectively, build strong relationships, handle confidential information with integrity, and bring proven experience in problem solving, research, and analysis.

Qualifications and experience required to be successful in this role include:
   Strong business analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
   Bachelor's degree in information technology management or computer science.
   7+ years of experience in digital technical product development and digital product lifecycle management (you build it, you run it).
   7+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of agile methodology, Scrum methods for digital product management, including testing approaches and technologies.
   Experience managing or delivering payment platforms, payment gateways, or transaction-processing solutions, with an understanding of end-to-end payment flows such as authorization, settlement, reconciliation, refunds, chargebacks, and operational support.
   Knowledge and experience owning or managing business-critical payment solutions or platforms in a regulated environment, including roadmap ownership, vendor and service provider coordination, SLA management, incident handling, compliance readiness, and continuous improvement of payment operations.
   Practical knowledge of payment security, compliance, and risk controls, including PCI DSS, data protection, fraud prevention, access management, and secure integration with internal and external payment service providers.
   Ability to identify, track, and manage dependencies within product roadmaps and release plans to support smooth execution and timely delivery.
   Outstanding communication, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
   Ability to effectively manage priorities and conflicting needs of stakeholders.
   Experience with solution architecture, component development, infrastructure monitoring and maintenance, user role management, and API development.
   User interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design experience.
   Ability to have fun and a willingness to try new things and challenge the status quo.

For this position, the base pay is set at $111,100.00 - $137,200.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
