This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA's family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. The Marketing Management job is responsible for promoting a favorable view of the organization and its products and services. Working independently under limited supervision, this job develops and distributes promotional materials, while also interpreting and reporting market-related information to inform initiatives and identify areas of opportunity. This job also contributes to the development and implementation of marketing plans to ensure organizational marketing strategies and sales targets are met.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Drafts, compiles, and distributes promotional materials and determines ad placement.
  • Develops reports on the business results of recently introduced or enhanced products and services and develops recommendations of modifications to improve products and services and/or marketing initiatives.
  • Interprets analysis of market-related information and develops reports to communicate implications for marketing strategies and/or key products and services.
  • Conducts additional qualitative or quantitative research as needed for market positioning, such as pricing, market assessment, or promotional and advertising research studies.
  • Analyzing marketing data, interpreting it for brand impact and reporting to management on implications for key products and services.
  • Develops relationships with related outside entities to maintain good public relations with customers.
  • Communicates with existing and potential clients and suppliers to explore and document opportunities to increase sales and profitability for designated new products and services, enhancements and initiatives.
  • Helps coach and delegate work to lower level team members.

This role is responsible for managing updates of existing marketing collateral, campaigns, digital/web and social media content, with a primary focus on ETFs. The Generalist team partners with the Public Product Positioning team to create new content and messaging for product launches, campaigns and strategic initiatives. The team also partners with the Marketing Services team to oversee content and updates throughout the full suite of materials.

Product marketing is responsible for supporting all of Nuveen's actively marketed products throughout their entire lifecycle - from conception, to launch, to growth and promotion, as well as closures and mergers. The team creates standard materials for the full suite of products and campaign content for highly promoted products. The team supports U.S. and non-U.S. distribution channels and partners closely with marketing colleagues globally in order to provide an integrated marketing approach. The position requires very close collaboration with members of marketing, product, client portfolio management and investments in order to raise awareness of our products and meaningfully grow and retain assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and implement updates of marketing collateral and web content including presentations, strategy profiles, product commentaries, web pages, paid search, paid social, display ads and other sales-support materials and content
  • Collaborates with design, content, social and digital teams to execute and measure marketing initiatives and ensure proper alignment of resources
  • Works with compliance department to ensure materials meet FINRA and/or SEC regulatory guidelines and supports compliance process from initial submission to final approval
  • Takes initiative to explore new approaches to increase efficiency and improve processes without sacrificing creativity or quality

  • Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Adobe, Zoom, Seismic, MarTech workflow tools
