Job description

OrthAlign, Inc., a Smart Technologies, growing medical device company, has an immediate opening for a Product Manager, Knee responsible for managing global market strategies and programs consistent with overall business objectives. Responsible for the day-to-day management of OrthAlign’s portfolio of products and applications, this role works cross-functionally and utilizes commercial knowledge and customer experience to influence customers and promote the Knee portfolio. This role utilizes traditional marketing tools and methodologies to support the downstream business activities, including product management, brand building, and industry partnerships. The Product Manager leads content creation, educational campaigns, and promotional activities, interfacing with OrthAlign’s sales force, selling partners, and KOLs and receives heavy interaction and guidance from other Brand Managers and Marketing Communications. The Product Manager also influences upstream business activities, including identifying unmet needs, participating in product phase reviews in the R&D process, and partnering with surgeon KOLs. This position may be remote (close to a major airport) or based at our HQ. Expected travel is about 30%.

You Will:

  • Lead downstream brand management including business analytics, product messaging, and collateral development.
  • Support marketing initiatives including product launches and key account targeting, including on-site and customer-facing support.
  • Support upstream product management, including identifying unmet user needs, trends, competitive market assessment, VOC from surgeon KOLs and distributors and RSMs, customer profiling, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with key internal team members on sales and operations planning process, define demand-side inputs for responsible product portfolio, forecasting, and product life cycle management. 

You Need:

  • BS/BA degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business
  • 5 years of knee and/or joint replacement technology-based product management experience
  • Experience supporting in the OR
  • Strong proficiency using MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as a collaborative team member as well as independently
  • Excellent attention to detail, producing high-quality output
  • Flexibility and strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Applies sound judgment when making decisions and communicating with peers and management
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgement; includes appropriate people in decision-making process
