The Role in Brief:

Product Manager

We are seeking a talented, passionate, and highly entrepreneurial team player to take on a Product Management role driving the engineering team to support growth of our EAB products.  Serving today’s end users, while meeting the expanding needs of our growing client-base, this manager will work closely with creative engineers to help design and develop technologies that improve the Education industry.

This role may be based in Richmond, VA or Washington, D.C.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a Product Roadmap based on the organization’s vision, goals, and success metrics, functional area strategies, user input, target architecture, and market research
  • Conduct market and competitive research, host user and client interviews, and create key performance indicators to stay abreast of product performance and inform the product roadmap
  • Drive transparency to roadmap detail, progress, roadblocks, etc. (across partners, Agile teams, senior leadership, etc.)
  • Sequence the Product Roadmap and ensure epics, features, and stories are right-sized and adequately groomed for input into Agile teams for delivery
  • Write user stories and success criteria with input from agile team and business partners
  • Act as the proxy for partners or end users and represent their voice to engineering teams
  • Triage and support new features and issues that arise
  • Ensure smooth deployment and adoption of solutions

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of professional experience delivering software products
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven analytic skills and ability to translate market findings into new product innovations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently while meeting critical milestones
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and external partners
  • Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences

 

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Certification in an Agile, Scrum or Product Management Framework (e.g. Pragmatic Marketing)
  • Prior experience collaborating with cross functional teams spanning Development, Marketing, and Sales
  • Prior experience managing technology-based products serving Higher Education industries
  • Prior experience and/or subject matter expertise with financial aid, artificial intelligence, marketing automation, or process design

Compensation:

The anticipated starting salary (base) range for this role is $84,000 - $97,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.

This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, such as individual and organizational performance.
