Job description

Summary

We are seeking a Product Management Engineer. This role will be responsible for data center products and projects management works, collaborating with Sales and RMA teams to engage customers, provide technical support, and address product-related issues. Key responsibilities include gathering customer feedback to drive strategic initiatives, coordinating new projects, and ensuring seamless technical support. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, customer-facing experience, and excellent communication skills to enhance AOI’s engagement in the data center and transceiver markets.

Job Duties

Product and project management – 50%

  • Research market/ technical trends and providing high-level SWOT/ QCD insights to provide business strategy proposals.

  • Support NPI, PLM, MES implementation, ensuring smooth product lifecycle management and manufacturing system coordination.

  • Provide backup and support to other projects and initiatives as needed

Data center FAE (Field Application Engineering) – 35%

  • Collaborating with Sales to approach customers and provide technical support.

  • Gather customers’ feedback for strategic use and coordinate new projects.

  • Working with Sales/ RMA teams to handle customer’s technical issues and RMA cases.

Attending related workshops & conferences – 15%

  • Attend data center/transceiver related workshops of IEEE & OIF for AOI.

  • Attend data center/transceiver related conferences OFC, GTC, and etc. for AOI

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in optical transceiver testing engineering.

  • Minimum of a Master's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.

  • Must be bilingual in English and Chinese

  • This role will require 15% U.S travel

  • Superior organizational, planning and coordination skills.

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.

  • A Project Management Professional certification is preferred.

Location

This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
